First off, it is going to be a good week! Why you ask? Because I get to babysit my niece Kate from roughly 7:15ish- roughly 3:30 Monday-Thursday! I get some good one on one quality bonding time with my girl before I leave for WC! Also, today she is 4 months old! However, she has been a part of our family for a little over a month now! According to my sister's blog she is gestationally 22 days old (she was a preemie).
Kate the day she came home! She was so tiny! She weighed 5 pounds! |

Kate today! She is packing on the pounds! :) I would guess she is about 8 pounds now! This pic makes her look bigger than she is! |
Well, after my totally fun day of hanging out with Kate, I went and had dinner with my longest and best guy friend, Matt. Out mothers were great friends before we were born, so we have literally grown up together! We definitely have a brother-sister relationship! Our third person in our trio, Sarah, couldn't get off work in time to come. Her Mom was friends with our mothers before she was born as well! The three of us used to do EVERYTHING together! I was sad she couldn't come tonight, but Matt and I had a great time at Genghis Grill! It was my first time there and it was fantastic! Plus, Matt and I got to catch up and talk about his summer plans working with Street Reach Ministry! He leaves tomorrow!![]() |
All time favorite childhood pic of Matt, me, and Sarah! |
Afterwards, Matt and I wanted to play Lasertron at Putt Putt. Matt and I NEVER spend money when we hang out, normally we just hand out at one of our houses...so this was a big deal for us. We went to Putt Putt and realized that nobody plays Lasertron on Monday nights...who knew?! So, we called some friends and had them meet us there. While we waited, we played a round of mini-golf. I lost, shocker I know! But we had a lot of fun! I actually had a few "hole in ones!"
Total concentration....could be why he won |
I am such a serious golfer....can't ya tell?!? |
Matt's "Hole in One"... Dance? |
Sam, one of our life-long friends we called to play Lasertron with us, was the first to arrive. I have known him my whole life as well! He graciously kept score and gave commentary on the game! When Matt and Sam get together they are quite silly. And I normally don't have a clue what they are talking about, but I did make a Charlie Sheen "Winning" reference, and they were impressed!Matt and Sam |
Picture for out mothers! haha Sidebar: It was SUPER humid and nasty outside, hence my ever growing frizz ball hair! |
Our true feelings! |
After our intense mini golf game, our other two friends arrived! Emily and David have been dating for a good while now...I believe over a year! They both go to Union with me, but Matt and I knew them from different circles. Matt and David have been good friends for a good while now, so Matt also knew Emily (because she was dating David). Emily and I went to Elementary school together way back when. Well, once David, Emily, and I were at Union, we put the pieces together! I value the relationships that I have with Emily and David! They are both precious, godly people that I am so thankful for! I really treasure and am thankful for the discussions I have with Emily. She too is called to ministry, as is David, so it is great to talk about the Lord and how He is using us with one another! Oh, and she suffered through the horrible Monday night, 3 hour, World Geography Class with me this semester....so we are bonded for life through our suffering! Haha!
Lasertron was so much fun! I was sooo bad at it though, but still had a great time! I am thankful for all these people!
All sweaty and gross after playing Lasertron for an hour! Sam, David, Emily, Me, and Matt |
